Detailed Job Description:

HOME RETENTION SPECIALIST
POSITION PURPOSE:
Responsible for printing, preparing, packaging and shipping
Home Retention documents to borrowers for signature and for
performing all functions relating to audit of signed Home
Retention documents, including review and resolution.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Receive and print incoming electronic documents
-Collate documents in accordance with the lender's
requirements ensuring that only specified documents are
included
-Prepare shipping labels
-Ensure that files are shipped to borrowers in a timely
manner and within the required timeframe
-Identify issues with documents or labels so that the
manager may address issues
-Identify and isolate exceptions and process as required
-Review documents for accuracy and proper execution and
completion upon their return, ensuring that all required
documentation is included and applicable documents are
recordable.
-Ensure that there has been no disallowed alteration to any
documentation.
-Update orders in system when files are received,
reviewed and sent back to client.
-Generate a shipping manifest and return to client with
documents.
-Return reviewed file package to client or custodian.
-Note orders in system for execution errors, missing and
added documentation.
-Determine if variations meet client's standards for
allowable exceptions.
-Scan document packages; attach scanned documents into
internal order system.
-Provide feedback to Management regarding recurring
issues/errors found and identify need for process
improvements and make recommendations to manager
-Perform other related duties as assigned

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Job Related Experience: 6 months or more related
experience or training. Experience with mortgage
documents and processes preferred.
