Detailed Job Description:
Corporate Cost Controller
Job Profile:
At the Corporate level, responsible for managing the
LIFO/FIFO reserve for North America including
calculation, audit review and tax compliance. Help
ensure all businesses are properly managing their
freight expenses from an actual versus accrued rate
basis. Responsible for managing the SAP fixed assets
system for North America including adding new businesses
to SAP and training users. As an SAP super-user strong
involvement in the design and configuration of SAP
across all businesses will be required. Work with
Divisional Cost Controllers to establish policies and
consistent approaches affecting inventory, fixed assets
and accounts payables.
Major Tasks:
Review LIFO/FIFO calculations and communicate to
external auditors and internal tax department
Review and adjust the corporate freight accrual
Supervise the SAP fixed asset group, manage the
month-end fixed asset close process, and transition new
businesses to SAP Fixed Assets
For cost rolls provide SAP system maintenance for all
master file records and help control and/or manage
system cost rolls
Initiate system maintenance of aged unvouched payables
As an SAP super-user, provide information and guidance
for development and configuration of the SAP system
Ad-hoc analyses for business units as needed
Experience/Skill Requirements:
SAP super-user, Fixed Assets and Cost Controlling
5-7 years experience in manufacturing cost accounting
as Plant Controller or Cost Accountant
Supervised employees
Effective project management skills
Good interpersonal skills
Team player
BPCS experience helpful
Education:
BS Accounting, MBA / CPA preferred
