Detailed Job Description:
Summary:
Perform general accounting function for corporate
accounting.
Major Focus:
General Ledger Accounting and month-end closing
process
Prepare and review account reconciliations
Analyze complex accounting areas, i.e. SFAS No.133,
pension/ESOP accounting, etc.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and technical accounting
research
Month-end and year-end reporting
Analytics as needed by businesses
Education or Experience:
BS/BA preferably in accounting (GPA >3.0)
CPA/CMA preferred
4+ years accounting experience, big 5 experience
highly preferred
Strong communication skills
Critical Thinking skills
Work independently as well as within a team
environment
Strong organization skills including ability to set
and meet deadlines
Strong attention to details
Strong PC Skills (Microsoft office excel required)
Working knowledge of GAAP
Able to work 45 hours during normal weeks and >55
hours during month end close
